Tried and True from Pinterest - Shredding Chicken

We LOVE chicken in our house and we use quite a bit of shredded chicken as a result. I will admit nothing is more annoying to me than taking two forks and shredding half a dozen chicken breasts. Been there, done that. I do quite a bit of batch cooking and storing portion sizes in my freezer so the process tends to drag on.

Once I saw this tutorial on Pinterest, I knew I had to try it. Anything that promises to shred cooked chicken in 40 seconds is at least worth a shot. Why not, I have tried double bladed scissors and cubing the chicken before so what's to lose. This method of shredding chicken using my Kitchen Aid mixer has REVOLUTIONIZED my life. Very few things get this high standard so this is big news folks. Its a big deal that I can cook a dozen chicken breasts, shred them, and store them during the kids naptime. Recently, I cooked a very large pork butt in my crockpot overnight and the next morning shredded it with the mixer and stored it before breakfast. AWESOME!

  1. Yay!! That's awesome! I have been waiting to start a registry so I can put a Kitchenaid mixer on it...been wanting one for a long time and the more amazing things I hear about it, the more I'm convinced it's a worthy investment! :)

    1. I will be honest. I can count on one hand the number of times I used my mixer the first 2-3 years we were married. I use it SO much more now!
