Grass & Outside Project Update

This past weekend we spent some time wrapping out the outside projects and doing some general cleaning up. The tarps and tools don't put themselves away.  Aren't my helpers cute? I'm kinda partial.

The leaves and acorns are starting to fall (only on the new grass mind you!) and that ushers in the season of leaves.
The grass has started to come in quite nicely. We have some spots but Chris reseeded those spots the other day so hopefully we won't have any more spots in a few weeks.
As I was cleaning out the garage, I found the bird feeder and bird seed that Mom and Dad were getting rid of when they cleaned their garage out many months ago. When Chris went to the store to get some more seed, he bought a shepherd's hook to hang the feeder. As usual the kids wanted to help fill the feeder and help Chris put it on the hook.

Derek has enjoyed watching the few birds that have discovered it from the upstairs window.
Chris saw two red-tailed foxes the other morning. We already have deer, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and plenty of other creatures I don't want to think about that reside out back. We live in a subdivision, right off a busy highway, I never expected to see this many creatures when we bought our house 4 1/2 years ago!
