Pantry Closet Part 2

I am so excited to show you Chris' hard work adding a bottom shelf to our pantry. (Here we talked about finding the missing pantry pieces) We thought this would be a "simple" project but it didn't turn out to be so simple. Chris ended up having to remove the other shelves in order to add a shelf to the bottom and when you remove the shelves it means taking everything off the shelves.

Here is a shot of what our kitchen looked like. It always has to get messy before it gets better.

Chris contemplating the easiest way to put it back together.

Shelves back in....Doesn't that bottom shelf look so pretty!

Pantry put back together. You would never know that we added a shelf but it has made a huge difference to be able to see things better.

Thanks babe! You're THE man!

What do two organized people think is fun....

REDOING CLOSETS! Yep, we have redone almost all the closets in our house. Actually Megan and I were just reminiscing of all the upgrades we have done on the house over the past 4 years. Maybe it is genetic to redo closets, but it is a way for us to use our type A personality.

Megan has been asking me since we moved in if I could add a shelf to our pantry. Not a tough assignment you might say, if you only knew.  The builder used a supported pantry system, which made it challenging to locate the needed pieces. When we went to Home Depot to look at the supported pantry system recently they had stopped carrying the pole and connectors we needed. Ugh! On a rather large shopping trip to Lowe's to gather supplies for a few DIY projects, I found the Rubbermaid support pole (like the one below) on the closet aisle.  Go figure. So an unintended surprise and project! More to come...
