Great is the Goodness of My God

Rarely have I been so moved after listening to an online sermon than this one. This sermon was preached by Dr. Stephen Jones during chapel at BJU in April. Dr. Jones has been on medical leave for the school year with a medical condition that doctors have been unable to diagnose. It resonated with me in many different ways. He uses the passage of Psalm 31 which was quoted by many biblical figures in scripture going through trials.

Here are the quotes that stuck out to me.

"All of us will know trial, but don't look at it as punishment, look at it as an opportunity to know your God more closely than you ever have"

"God cares for his own. Do you believe it?"

"When trial comes your circumstances change but God does not"
